Project completion period: 2015–2016

Project description: construction of a rallycross track in accordance with International Automobile Federation (FIA) requirements. The project was comprised of the designing the track configuration and building the track itself, installation of stationary and mobile safety equipment, development of water drainage solutions, development of a surface solution in conformity with modern rallycross track requirements, development of a lake shore landscaping solution, and deforestation and peat removal work. The focal point of the project was a 1294 m long rallycross track integrated into the existing motor sport and karting track zone, providing an extra new gravel surface stage about 800 m long. A special surface material was provided for the gravel stage - a mixture of mineral materials, bound with cement, for which an individual specification was developed during the course of the development of the project. The surface composed of this combination of materials laid down at Biķernieki Circuit is the only one of its kind in the world.
