Project description: Construction works on the reconstruction of the section km 60.20 – 79.45 of the State main road A3 Inčukalns – Valmiera – Estonian border (Valka) were started in the spring of 2016 and completed in the summer of 2017. The total length of the reconstructed section is 19.2 km. Within the framework of the reconstruction project, the foundation of the road was strengthened using recycling technology and the asphalt concrete surface was renewed, as well as the reconstruction of culverts and the reconstruction of the road overpass were carried out, thus improving traffic safety. Within the framework of the competition “The Best Construction of the Year 2017”, the 3rd place in the category “Engineering Structure” was awarded to the construction facility “Reconstruction of the Section km 60.20 – 79.45 of the State Main Road A3 Inčukalns – Valmiera – Estonian border (Valka)”.
